Although the blush usually purchased from most manufacturers may take more powder on te brush to produce the desired hue, you will want to make sure that you use very little with actual rouge as it is very potent. Dip the brush lightly in the powder and then tap the brush several times lghtly over the container. Next roll the brush on a kleenex or paper towel.
Putting It On
Apply the rouge in an upwards sweeping motion right on or above the cheek bone creating a triangular shap such as in the picture to the right. If you will be out doors then you don't need much at all because the lighting will not drown out your color and you will naturally blush when you start dancing. If you are going to be on a stage where there's bright lights you will want to go a little darker because the stage lighting is harsh and will drown out your color, making your cheecks darker will allow the color to be visible
Blending It In
Now, of course you don't want a visible line where your blush stops so you have to blend it in. There are several ways to do this first try using a clean brush to smooth the lines. If a brush doesn't work try using a tissue (lightly). If you still can't smooth it out then use your normal powder (the one the same color as your skin) and lightly apply that near the rouge and blend it into the blush line.
