Rectangular Veils
Rectangular Veil 1
Materials:
3 yards of a light weight sheer fabric (like chiffon, silk, or
1 spool of Matching color thread
Instructions:
1. First you need to make the fabric square by pulling out

some of the threads until you have an obvious line that

you can cut on where the fabric is straight. You can cut
of some of that extra thread that will only get in the

way later.
2. Now if you have a serger you can use it to finish the

edges. If you don't have a serger fold the edges over a

small amount and sew it with a straight stitch. You

have the option to fold it over once then sew and fold it

over again and sew or you can fold it twice right from
the beginning and then sew it. Folding twice will greatly
reduce the amount of fraying you get. Also, you may
use a decorative stitch although the chances of anyone
noticing it other than you are very small.
*This is an un-waited veil and does not have any trims of any kind

machine or by hand.
4. This step is optional. You can now add any decorative
patterns that you want for more information on this see
the beading section.
